4 Years and a Day was such a wonderful and inspirational support for me. Both my mom and my aunt were diagnosed with breast cancer followed by both having a double mastectomy in 2019. This was my second diagnosis of breast cancer. It was a very hard thinking I was a breast cancer survivor and almost in that five year clear zone to find out I was having a recurrence. During my time in remission, I always had a positive spirit and wasn’t going to let the cancer win. Knowing I had people praying and there to help support me outside of my family was a wonderful feeling. 4 Years and a Day was there for me and they made a beautiful gift basket with breast cancer awareness items, prayers and poems as well as Kroger gift card for food. I was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2019 with in 3 weeks’ time I went from being diagnosed to having a double mastectomy. 4 years and a Day was there through my process. They made efforts to uplift my spirits and gifted a pink breast cancer awareness basket. Inside of the basket were positive affirmations and scriptures to keep me encouraged. The staff came and visited me after my surgery. They were very loving and caring. I was really blessed to have come across this nonprofit organization.
